That seems totally out of context? Out of shape no. Being apathetic? If I'm going to give money to someone in over their head it would be a kid or a long time friend. I've done both but money to a stranger on line, I don't think so if solicited. My empathy was fine till the solicitation from the OP.

It was "you" in the 3rd person. Many people here seem to be bent out of shape over how others donate their money. There's far worse things they could be donating to.

Thanks Cpt. Mike...I appreciate the summation...it's just too funny!! I don't hate to say it...while literally NOT having read all the stinking pages..probably spot on given the history on how some threads just seem to head for the shoals all on their own.

I do have to admit, I started adding up your summation page numbers....and the math came OUT PERFECT....

I don't recall a you, third person. I agree there are a # of worse thing to donate to but this is not a social or political thread.

OK, let's try this approach....

We love Italy, but would prefer to spend our winter in Palma, Mallorca visiting our CF friends Weavis and Prairiechicken. Right now we're stuck in San Giorgia di Nogaro, Italy 80km east of Venice where I'm growing tired of taking the same old pictures of the Grand Canal on my new $3000 camera.

PLEASE, PLEASE HELP US raise $2600 so that we can fuel up our Oyster and take the time off work to move her to a more convenient (to us) mooring in Palma. Our fuel tank is currently empty.

Please help us by going to: www.pleasefundourretirementenjoyment.com and give what you can.

Cheers

Ken

Well done! It would have been so much simpler if you could have said it at the start. Seriously, a public thank you!
