Need a boat trailer for a dinghy in San Francisco Bay Area

Can anyone tell me where I can rent a boat trailer in San Francisco, Bay Area? Or where to find a service to transport a dinghy for 18 miles in the Bay Area?

I have a 12'x6' dinghy that needs to be picked up from a shop in SF and take it to my boat in East Bay. The shop doesn't have a trailer. I used a regular mover to take my dinghy to the shop but now that the outboard is installed along with a Euro Helm, it will be too heavy to lift the dinghy to put on a flatbed trailer. I want to be able to launch the dinghy in the water, hence need a boat trailer. The outboard can not be detached easily.

I searched it online, I even contacted people who are selling boat trailers to see if they would rent me one or transport the boat but no luck. If I can find someone to pick up the dinghy and launch it at the nearest boat ramp, I will be happy too.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Its a pretty long dinghy, but could you use someone's jet ski trailer to move it? or a regular boat trailer?

Just a coupla thoughts. Don't you just love unintended consequences?

Who could not love French Polynesia?

Thank you for the quick response. I asked our friend who has jet ski but his trailer was too short. Even asked his regular jet ski dealer but they didn't have what we can use. A regular boat trailer would be great only if I can find someone to let me rent. Do you know any places? Thanks!

CHRISTO TRANSPORT.....707-843-0074

But you don't want it transported since that will be expensive, you will tow it yourself just need a trailer? Have you called some boatyards?
I have a 19ft cat trailer, but I'm really too far away.

Re: Need a boat trailer for a dinghy in San Francisco Bay Area

Thank you for the reply and the offer.
I've called marinas around to see if they knew anyone. No luck. I called a couple of boatyards and had no luck. I can tow the boat trailer only if I can find one. I need to set up my SUV to tow but it's a small price to pay. It will be ideal if someone can pick up the dinghy from South Beach area and drop it off in Richmond but if the dinghy can be launched in the water near by, we can take the dinghy to where it needs to go via water.
Thanks again!

Have you tried asking yacht clubs or marinas that do dry storage? Perhaps a member with a boat on a trailer would rent to you while their boat is in use.

Lloyd's Holiday Harbor 415 Fleming Ln, Antioch, CA. (925) 757-2346 has a couple of small boats for rent that are on trailers. Maybe they can help.

I have a 10.5 Caribe dinghy setting on a trailer, but I think it's to small for your dinghy.

U-haul rents trailers, just a box trailer should hold this boat if strapped down, particularly if you just move it to the nearest launch ramp.

Re: Need a boat trailer for a dinghy in San Francisco Bay Area

Thank you all for the responses! It looks like a boatyard where we will haul our boat can transport our dinghy.
Tayana42-Great idea for contacting yacht clubs. I was going to try this if the boat yard didn't come back with a positive answer.
Talon1-Thank you for the Lloyd’s contact and the picture of your trailer.
nimblemotos-I thought of U-haul but the dinghy would be too heavy to launch from the trailer so were looking for another option.
Best regards,
