Try the saltimboca. It's delicious & the region is famous for it. It goes well with Orvieto.

Re: Naked sailing!
If it hasn't already been said "....when in Rome". My picture confirms what side of the fence I'm on, but with that said, I won't be the first to be nude in a new anchorage, if others are nude then I get to enjoy being nude. My vacation residence is the Glen Eden Sun Club in SoCal, and of course nudity is fine at a nudist resort. When travelling I'll always follow local mores or go to the trouble of spending time at whatever resorts are in the area. Spain, unlike France, doesn't even allow female topless on the beaches but I have stayed at Costa Naturio, a resort on the coast of Spain not far from Gibraltar.

Re: Naked sailing!
I can certainly attest that Spain allows topless, and even nude dress codes on their beaches. When some tourists were appalled by the crusty old sun worshippers wang swinging back and forth in front of their kids they asked a local about it and got the reply, "there is no law against it, just don't walk like that in the city!".
I think in Barcelona the unwritten rule is put something on if you cross the boardwalk. Out in the water, on a boat? Nobody bats an eye at a twig and berries.

Re: Naked sailing!
Mathil,
It was 1998 when I was last there. I just chose the resort for holiday to be sure. Sorry for the poor report on Spain. When in France I stayed at Cap d'Adge and in the naturist section it is nude all over, post office, grocery, etc.

Re: Naked sailing!
For crying out loud...kids offended ???
What is the fuss about? There's only two types : type F and type M and we all know what they are...generally most of us are one or the other !
I sail naked at every opportunity in the tropics..I even have a T-shirt "Live the dream ... Sail Naked!" ...saves on laundry !

In general, although there are a few nudist beaches here in Greece, nudity is frowned on, particularly in view of a church. Churches are harder to avoid than you would imagine. The most remote anchorages will often have an isolated pint size one in the most spectacular and hard to reach spot!

Re: Naked sailing!
Interesting replies on this thread.
I wonder if all those who think it is normal to wander about the boat naked would do the same in their front gardens in front of neighbours and those passing by... I doubt it so why does a boat make a difference?

Would you wear a bikini to church?
I think that setting does make a difference. Also, public exposure laws vary from place to place.
It's like people going to Amsterdam to smoke weed in the cafes there. What is inappropriate in one place may be acceptable behavior in another place.

And what is acceptable to you may not be to others. I know my wife got sick of three males on the boat next to us exercising naked on deck each day and spending all their time naked.
There is a big sea out there where you can do exactly as you like..we do but we try to show consideration for others when anchoring in a small bay where others and children are.

Re: Naked sailing!
This thing about children keeps coming up but until kids have been taught by inhibited adults to keep their dirty parts covered up they are the least bothered by others being naked.
I'm actually not much different than you in that I am quite modest and will not go naked unless I'm at sea or in a private area but I have no problem whats so ever with others going naked nor would I be the least bit worried about my children.
This whole naked thing is religious based fear and its really too bad that we can't get over it.
