Re: Music to Sail by . . .

OK, playing by the rules. there have been some great songs mentioned. I imagine this song being played as I'm leaving under the Golden Gate Bridge. Keep in mind, it's for the younger crowd and has offensive words. It's, "I'm on a Boat" T-plain. watch the video on you-tube. very funny, that is for sailors that have an open rapping mind.

Cannot beat the sound of the hull kissing the water. The best sound is that wonderful moment everytime you first have the sails set and the engine off! Again, playing by the rules...always loved Fleetwood Mac's "Albatross" and Santana's "Samba Pa Ti"...both instrumentals...sailing on a perfect day on a perfect ocean is beyond words.

The Cartman version is the only one I'm able to reproduce in my head.

Warning: it sticks with you

Re: Music to Sail by . . .

I just found out about this girl, Katie Melua, originally from (the country) Georgia. I saw some advertisements about her music so I looked her up and listened to a few songs. She has a nice voice and easy to listen to.

I'm swinging at at anchor right now and listening to my "old fart" music, Pearl Jam.
