What am I saying here?

My feet hurt.

Yep, I got that note too on my very first post. And I went with the sugar and spice and everything nice response. It was fine.

Re: Moving over from Sailnet

I have been mocked several times on this forum for my careful spelling and punctuation. Clearly its not important for everyone. If you find a misspelled word or poor punctuation in one of my posts, you can be sure it was made from a phone or other device. Literacy is slowly dying in my opinion and I would not have it so.

Re: Moving over from Sailnet

I use this forum, sailnet and others for different reasons, depends on the topic but sometimes ask the same questions on both when looking for info. Both are a very valuable resources of info for me as I work on and sail my Alberg 30. I, however, dislike being corrected for minor spelling or grammar errors, really is it that bad to read your instead of you're...I mean come on. I am sure we all know the difference but when you're typing it out errors are often made and not picked up when proof reading. Happens to all of us at on time or another. I have enough stress and come these forums as a way to "escape" the everyday grind and just don't need to be corrected over stupid BS......life is way too short to have to worry whether or not my posts are grammatically correct! I really enjoy posting and will continue to do so.....

Cheers for gramatically correct posts. Nonetheless, many geniuses, statesmen, inventors, writers and leaders had difficulty speling.

Re: Moving over from Sailnet

Some old history:
Google wouldn't have its name if someone hadn't botched its original moniker. Playing off the term "googolplex," a Stanford University student suggested the search engine be named "Googol." But when checking the availability of the word as an Internet domain, the student misspelled it "Google." The company decided to leave it as it was, even after realizing the error.

Which quote goes quite well with: When fascism comes to America, it will come wrapped in the flag and bearing a cross. -Sinclair Lewis.

I was on SN for almost two years and posted 550 messages. I moved here several weeks ago because the moderators do a better job.
