Iv always liked the site..

I just like a little freedom so need to get that fix elsewhere...but it can go way to far and I have bailed on a site or two that it has..There's Good People here..there's good people everywhere..no one has a monopoly on them...

I pick and choose whom I intend to try and meet someday... and there is definitely a couple of you here..and you probably already know who you are..

I look at forum members much the same as the diversity of my small home town..there are thoes people that cause you grief and thoes that you realy want to be around..I try to be the latter for you all.. but know I will fail for some of you and that OK...If all of us agreed most of us would not be necessary..

The hardest thing for me is to leave my own emotion at the door...Iv been workin on that for the better part of my life.

Well Mark, don't really remember referring to the internet as a country, but thanks for pointing that out, buddy.

P.S. This little thing called the internet sort of epitomizes the idea of free speech.

Cheers

Bill

No Duh! We all know the internet is a series of tubes...and I don't want my tube hooked up to some of the other forums tubes anymore. Atleast not without some form of virus protection!

I agree that there are forums that are like that, and I will not use them. However, there are other forums that have no moderation, and are significantly less of a problem than has even been seen on here.

Now I dont really have too much of a probelm with good moderation, but there have been a few incidents where rules were not being applied even handed. Even a couple of incidents where personal opinions were being supported by heavy handed moderation. That will kill a forum unless this is stopped.

I must have missed these incidents. Could you point me to the threads or be more specific in your accusations. I have found the moderators to be pretty fair and even handed even if some of the members have not been.

There is at least one member who thought it was funny to bait one of the mods and then try to demean him. That member is no longer here and I for one don't miss him in the least. But I have never seen the moderators jump on anyone in a heavy handed way.

After 24 hours is doesnt seem so bad ... and as for the beer bit----> The evil person who invented the net is now spiking my drinks!

If Cruisers Forum were to become like everyone else then there would be less variety. What if all boating forums were a homogeneous amalgamation of chaos?

I like this forum. I get a s**$load of information and a lot of help when I ask questions. I do not mind the moderation, over all it helps, and it has kept me in line when I have one to many brewskies .

And BTW Gord is the man
