Marina recommendations near Newport News, VA

We're looking for Marina recommendations near Newport News VA for a 54' sailboat with a 65'-3" mast height. We plan to liveaboard a year from now but need a place to keep the boat in the meantime. We're not interested in amenities, but the marina needs to be safe.

We are up in Deltaville Va, about 70 miles north of there. I would join ActiveCaptain. The interactive crusing guide will highlight all the marinas as your zoom in an explore all the areas around Newport News, which are many.

Yep, I second active captain. You can see every marina in your chosen area and read reviews from people who have stayed there. The rates are listed as well as the amenities and if the marina has a website, that is listed as well

Pick a few, go to their websites, and then call if you need more information like long term rates.
