Marina recommendations in the Windward Islands

Last fall, after 18 months in Europe, I sailed from Portugal, by way of the Canaries, to Martinique and then spent several months cruising. The boat, a 12 meter cutter, is currently on the hard in Trinidad. Tomorrow, I'm heading back to Trinidad with a friend to cruise for a couple of weeks. I will need a place to store the boat, preferably in the Grenadines, until I sail her back to Newport, Rhode Island in the spring. Any recommendations would be appreciated! TIA

I just spent some time in Rodney Bay last month. I would definitely consider storing a boat there.

Grenada ,St lucia ,Martinique and Guadeloupe all have appropriate marinas for your purpose.

Thanks Saleen! I looked at Rodney Bay, a little pricey. I'll probably put her in Spice Island in Grenada.

Thanks, I'm aware of that, I was looking for personal recommendations.

I have stayed in all of them . If you need a dock prickly bay is not a good choice. Spice island has no dock. Consider secret harbour or a mooring with guardian

Thanks Admiral! I've been trying to contact George Cumberbatch with a mooring in mind.

Call Clark’s Court Marina in Grenada. Was quite full but they have been launching steady this past month. New restaurant/bar just opened on premises.

If you're not adverse to getting as far north as Antigua be sure to check our Jolly Harbor Marina. Very professional service with lots of capabilities.

Re: Marina recommendations in the Windward Islands

check out grenada marine. A boatyard only, not a marina but very competent staff and very safe. Nearby hotel in the nature preserve has special rates and free rides to the boatyard for yachties
