Mantus Anchors

This is a bit overdue, but everything is slow in my world it seems.

After being one of the lucky winners in the April contest, Judie and I decided to upgrade our anchor with a new Mantus 55. When we ordered it, we weren't really sure about sizing and it came in quite a bit larger than our previous Bruce, long enough that it needed an alternative bow roller setup. Here's where the folks at Mantus really shine: I sent an email asking for recommendations. I didn't expect much, but Greg at Mantus was enormously helpful and willing to solve our problem. He gave us direction to find parts, and connected us with people who were in the business. Even though I never found the right setup, I could tell he really cared about getting us taken care of.

So, not only did they provide a great anchor (yes, we love it) but also went way out of their way to help out someone who got a really good deal on it. Thanks to CF and Mantus for improving our safety and boating life. We really appreciate it!

Re: Mantus Anchors

I'll Ditto the support from Mantus. Very few companies do you communicate with the boss. I'm exceedingly happy with the Mantus on the Rose. Ok It's true, It does hold better then a Bruce clone. It can be a pain to raise sometimes. Which is not a bad thing.

We also LOVE the 85lb anchor we bought from Mantus. They even loaded it in the trunk for us.

Re: Mantus Anchors

I bought one in the Galveston Bay area and they hand delivered it and helped me put it on the boat!
