Adventurer Stanley Paris today [February 22] showed off the progress on Kiwi Spirit, the vessel in which he hopes to break the record set by Maine sailor Dodge Morgan for a solo nonstop sail around the globe.

Paris, founder of St. Augustine University in Florida, is having the 63’ sailboat made at Lyman-Morse Boatbuilding [in Maine].

Hum, does he want to beat a Maine record? Dodge Morgan had done it in 150 days, non stop. Even the women record is a lot better than that, with 94 days.
