Fiberglass will absorb a small percentage of moisture. Fiberglass tanks have been used for decades in chemical processing. They tend to outperform other materials at ambient temps.

Your holding tank suffers the most aggressive environment.

It's the core material that can suffer damage. If it swells then delamination will occur. Otherwise its remarkably resilient.

Keeping your bilge clean and painted is good practice but not mandatory.

I'd be much more concerned with those keel bolts.
