Lightning strike video

I think its real, wow looks damaging. I imagined there would be ripples in the water, not sure why.

Re: Lightning strike video

Looks real to me. What was that side flash at the end from the bow to the dock? Shore power cord or wet dock line?

That's why you want lots of bigger sailboats around you and bear hunt with fat friends, you don't have to outrun the bear just your friend.

That was a nasty line of t-‘storms. We were sitting on our mooring 20 miles north. Close to home. Near Boston Mass USA.

Re: Lightning strike video

Yeah, real. Was sent to me also from friend who no longer wants to be out anywhere near storms. That was a big bolt. I saw a sailboat get struck 2 summers ago and it wasn’t nearly that dramatic.

Fallacy.

When we had a sailing vessel we had our mast hit by lightning surrounded by much larger keelboats.

Re: Lightning strike video

But since it's the only thing I have to cling to in a storm I'll just call that cosmic payback for something you did in a previous life.
