Great thread!

I own a sailboat from my favorite naval architect, author, William Crealock. 1920 - 2009

http://m.utsandiego.com/news/2009/oc...ats-adventure/

A 1976 Clipper Marine 32 center cockpit aft cabin ketch. Edson helm, Yanmar 8hp diesel, 2 waterless composting heads, six wheel trailer and with an 8 foot beam, she doubles as a six person camper to haul to any vacation spot with no special permits. .

Hours of labor went into this project. She was a pass survey rescue, that was so far past dirty, it took a month to clean her. So heavily oxidized, her blue hull looked white.

She sat on her trailer 3 years in LA when her owner traded coasts and left her behind. Her price year one, $14,000 with optional trailer. Her price end of year three, free with purchase of trailer. Final tab including trailer, shipping 1,500 miles, survey, diesel service, wet sand, bottom paint, new fridge, microwave, 14,000 btu AC, 11,000 btu heater, 2 waterless composting heads, hot water heater, 30" SS wheel, And a second parts boat i located at the Great Lakes is $7,000.

Loads of fun on the water. My favorite sailboat. Named her after my best friend, Sugar Bee, who loves to sail.

I hope this pic upload worked out ok.
She is a work in progress at the moment, but we bought her 3 months ago and live on board while we are doing some major improvements.

Re: Let's see your pride and joy(sailboat)

We are in the middle of a refit. At the moment the status is:

The new motor is on the bed.
The interior is 85% re-varnished.
We are starting to refinish the decks.

Even after we finish the current projects, we still have a ton left to do, but we are hoping to splash in a few months and do some sailing.

A one off from a wannabe boat builder who went out of business just after.
Steel, tough as an old boot, sturdy, and in need of much TLC (mostly done with a "Greek screwdriver" aka a hammer).

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"
