Lasdrop shaft seal

Anyone used the Lasdrop shaft seal?

http://www.lasdrop.com/

My local Prop shop who is going to be doing some modification to my prop shaft recommends this seal over the PSS shaft seal which I was going to install. This is a new product to my list of stuff I am doing to my boat, it looks very good just wanted to know if anyone has any first hand expeirience.

Thanks

yes, yes

Windthief has this system and so far for me it has been a no brainer. I check on it about once a month with my more involved engine room checks. I'm not sure how long the previous owners had it on, but like I said it's always dry in my bilge and haven't had any shaft scoring.

Gets the drop on drips

Had one during my two-year cruise, which involved far more motoring than I expected. No problems with the Las-drop, which had been installed by the previous o. You need to figure what to do if it breaks because failure is potentially catastrophic.
