Keel Walking - Bring It On :)

]One false move, and this sailor could be keeled | News.com.au

Typical journos making it sound dangerous. It looks like a hell of a lot of fun.. Notice the Port Rudder had been removed for the stunt

Yeah, I was just looking at this myself. Amazed at how far the Open 60 was heeled over as it didn't seem to be very windy. No doubt that they had wound the canting keel out to the max.

Cool stunt, but not likely very dangerous. Looks like the yacht crew is doing most of the skilled work.

Agreed. With the addition of a ton or two water ballast, most of them would have been on the leeward rail getting a bit damp I would suspect.

It appears you can buy one of her sister ships for Half a Mill or so.

Or for 150k with some shopping-

Though obviously too old to be a proper "sistership", it's still an Open 60.

What do you want to bet they had the moveable ballast/water ballast on the wrong side?

I was thinking he should have tried to get into the boat, not dive into the water.
