Jeanneau & Beneteau Question

I have a question as to these brands. Is Jeanneau a higher quality brand of the two, i.e. Buick v. Chevrolet, as they are both part of the same company?

And are there different lines within the brands as to quality of construction and finish?

Beneteau has a cruiser line, Oceanis and a performance/cruiser line, the First series. Jeanneau similarly has the Sun Odyssey and Sun Fast lines, back when they were separate companies I think Jeanneau might have been considered the Buick. I crew on a Jeanneau 36i , a cruiser with performance "enhancements", deeper keel, taller mast, Harken hardware etc. that we refer to as "racing with a big screen TV and recliners" pretty plush.
The performance lines are generally Spartan interiors with lots of white shiny surfaces and thin cushions, cruisers are well laid out. They've use laminates and such to replace solid wood to a greater degree than some people like.
