Yes. That does sound pretty dangerous. And I'm sure that the type of foam that they put on the interior for insulation is deemed safe.

I'm sure others might have other solutions/suggestions?

Hmm, I have some type of foam in my ice boxes that are now crumbling and leaving a fine powdery residue if touched.

The stuff is 27 years old and on its last legs.

Never been ill on the boat..Rather the other way around, fresh air and no stress is good for the spirit and more.....
