I have a 25 foot columbia centender she draws 3ft full keel on a double axel jaxs trailer. She is being worked on right now for the winter. Come spring with proper research maybe even some scubagear. Is it crazy to think I could step the mast and maybe come up with a way to launch her from the right boat ramp and save my-self the money?
Yes it is possible at the right ramp on the right tide with the right tow vehicle.
You might want to investigate having a "Draw bar" made for your trailer that will give you extra "reach".
Some concrete ramps have a drop off at the end that can make it difficult to retrieve the trailer if the wheels go over the edge.
