Ipad Help

Need help. When I first connect to Cruisers Forum with my Ipad, I get the pop up asking if I want the app for it. I answer yes and try to download the app, only to be told it is not available for this country. Live in Maine.
Thanks

Re: Ipad Help

This won't help, but maybe get you a chuckle,

I've gotten all kinds of the same sort of thing-"We only ship in the U.S.", "our service is nationwide United States only", and from Verizon (twice) "You have to activate your phone in America".

I live in Alaska.

Have you been OS recently? Sometimes your foreign location might get locked in. When I search items to buy I keep on getting freight quote to send items to Greece. I live in Australia but once did a query to see how much something would cost to send it to Greece. Try changing location services in privacy

Re: Ipad Help

I tried it again and the message says,"the item you've requested is not currently available in the U. S. store". Has any one else run into this?

Yes, I just tried it and got the exact same thing from the direct link.
Go to the app store and search tapatalk and download it that way,
I have no idea why the link doesn't work

Re: Ipad Help

I wouldn't bother with the forum apps anyway. they diminish the experience not all the features of the regular webpage are there. I just wish there was a way to turn this off permenently!

Check that you don't have malware installed. I was doing the rounds this holiday, checking on my families' PCs for viruses and updates. On my sister's PC I found a proxy server running in the background that was redirecting all her internet requests. It was a coupon service that was injecting ads into every page she visited. Simple Google searches were taking 2-3 seconds longer as everything was routed through their servers. And to her and her family it was completely transparent.

I couldn't install malwarebytes and Windows Defender was always "up to date" (the proxy server was returning an all clear when the virus update application ran even though there were real updates waiting.) I had to use another PC to download the necessary apps and clean up took a few hours.

You may want to have a professional look at your PC. Malware makers are really sneaky and if you don't know what to look for you can expose yourself to a lot of harm. Like accessing all your accounts and passwords, and security questions problems.
