Oh you too!!! Glad to hear that other people have been as luck as me!! I was actually luckier, because I'm dealing with a real bonified Nigerian Prince, and he needs my help also to transfer his great wealth out of the country.. Man, I can't wait until the transfer happens so I can finally get my dream boat...!!!

The universe spoke yesterday and kicked four potentials in my face including a crealock 37, a Farr 1220 and a Mason 43.

So am about to start the process again.

The crealock is one of my all time favorite but doesn't have 2 quarter berths for the kids, don't know, the Farr has the accom but not the build.

I don't know, I guess you are unlikely to die from a lack of accommodation!
Well, I'm confused. I thought you needed two aft berths for the kids. I don't know the Farr 1220, but the Crealock sure doesn't have them, nor the Mason. If you're only going to be coastal cruising at most, why do you need them? Or maybe you have already decided you don't, in which case you have all sorts of choices. If you really need two aft berths, the Beneteau 50 has great ones. I have a couple friends with two twins (age 12) that live aboard one and are cruising the US east coast and the Bahamas. They love it, but you need just a few more boat bucks for this one in Tahiti.

Hi Doodles

You are 100% correct. The 2 bunks are ideal but boats are a compromise aren't they.

Realistically we sat down and decided this was a compromise we could make and live with.

And the wife lives a Crealock!

Tell them that if the boat is not substantially as they described it, you will submit a complaint to your version of the Better Business Bureau, along with a bill for the second opinion you have offered on the vessel. Damage the credibility they are trying to use, hit 'em in the pocketbook.

I assume you meant "loves", in which case that's the boat for you!

Great boats of course ... hope you get it.

A mason 43 (yes I know she is much bigger than we planned) in New Zealand

I have had a few folks "check her out" and have poured over all the info on her. Spoken to the owner in California and agreed a price !!!!

Going to NZ on Wednesday

Good luck, I hope it turns out well for you.
At least NZ is a lot closer than where my boat is!

Re: I'm done kissing frogs.

Thanks dragon lady,

Does anyone have any experience getting a boat delivered.

What should it cost?

Is a daily rate or a fixed rate best?

Hi James, I noticed this company a while ago Sea-Ready Professional Yachting Mentors. But also I wonder whether you can just request experienced crew. Good luck

Re: I'm done kissing frogs.

Hi Jacques. It is a saying, usually associated with dating, "you have to kiss a lot of frogs to get to a prince" it means you have to go out with a lot of inappropriate people before you find the one. "Mr or Mrs right" as the case may be.

I started this topic on the way to the airport after going to see a totally misrepresented boat and felt it was appropriate as a title.
