Been out of sailing for some years and we are looking for something along these lines.

See these 2 pictures. Can someone ID the manufacturer and perhaps how old she might be. Looks like 1990's vintage to me. Thanks.

At first glance I think it resembles a Catalina 38 (the tumblehome of the Catalina 38 is a distinctive feature). But, there may be other manufacturers who also emulated that design during the IOR design era.

The photo below shows some differences in portlights, but the hull looks similar. Perhaps a different year/model. Catalina built 366 over a period of 14 years production.

But, if you are simply looking for something similar, that is what I would search for on the net. There are usually some available for sale over time.

Very 70's hull design.. topsides make it more likely American than European

Nautor Swan late 60's by the look kind of like a 36 but the coaming is different from ones I've seen.

Looking online looks like it may be a 1970 swan

Looking more online I'd say the listing is right 1970 Swan 37 which was a S&S design which is likely why it looks american.

The info above does identify that yacht as a Swan.

Looks like it. CG vessel check cite has a Chicago based 1970 36.4' boat named Dulcinea. Since it is pre-1974 no HIN # of course.

...and no builder listed. The vessel page should gives you enough information to query the owner through email. Most people want to talk about their boat if you approach it correctly.

Thank you all so much.

We searched just about every boat we could think of, incl Catalina, Baltic, etc., The closest I could come was an Ericson 38. My husband mentioned Nautor, but somehow we missed the smaller Swans.

Appreciate the help!

FWIW, the Catalina 38 was built from the molds that originally formed the Yankee-38, built by Yankee Yachts. When Y-Y went under, Catalina acquired the molds, redesigned the rudder (removed the skeg) and redid the interior design completely. The resultant boat was popular for a while, but suffered all the evils of early IOR designs. None the less, I think it is the best looking Catalina ever built!
