disability income is paid for by each individual working out of fica taxes.
it has nothing to do with you. i am allowed to reside anywhere i wish, and i am in transit to nunyebusinessville. i am already in whatbizofyoursisitville
as far as citizens of usa and what makes you puke''''i am grossly sickened by alleged citizenry of the once greatest nation attempting to deny another citizen of that same nation the right to free speech guaranteed by MY forefathers who founded the once great nation., thankyou.
also , in case you have forgotten, usa IS a bullying nation. re read your history.
too many folks from usa cannot read. too bad. is a lot being missed by these individuals.
had those requiring spoon feeding of information actually paid attention in class mebbe today they could be able to read and understand the words posted in plain english....

this is not a political rant, as you attempt to make it and as richard latitude 38 is trying to do... it is not political and can not be fixed by calling your marina. or the us government.
it only can be fixed as joun hards fixed his... take your papers to sat and release your boat in person in spanish. in mexico.
this is not a job for us senate. it is a job for the 338 individuals..make it ,,,how many are now free, which proves it can be done.
go figger. the loudest complainants are those who refuse to deal with this in mexico in person as per mexican custom. without bullying or threats. is not usa.
get the us govt into it and we will son have a nuclear war involving mexico.... cheezuzz....

Re: I told everyone to avoid MEXICO. Here we go...

tacoma. research all postings regarding latitude 38..not merely mine. ALL, yes it is a lot of reading, you may wish to go to a real computer for this and print the entire deal out for reading in bed at night for a few weeks. not just my postings. read ALL the postings in ALL the threads.

you may just learn i am not the bludi bad guy you seem to imagine me as being. mebbe you could learn things contained in those postings i did not make. i am not trying to be mean, but all the info is in all those horrible-ly long postings and splainations. the first ever on this topic article by latitude 38 had john hands , as richard speeled my friend´s name... splained in full as he is always wont to doing, the entire process he went thru to liberate his home when he went to sat. sat is mexican tax .... he splained it well.. he is goood at that. please find it.. go to lectronic latitude and find the article or in cf search..i think lectronic latitude would be easier to use...i hope... are you using one of those infernal deevises like my new freek fone??? you may have to go to a realish puter for the search..even a netbook will do it, but i find my fone isnt up toit....
mine is a samsung galaxy android 4....egads.....is decent basic stufff, but...cannot DO anything,really... is there, i promise!!!

Amen!

Zeehag should run for office here in America. It's refreshing to find people unafraid to speak their minds on Nationalistic ideas. If you want to be in Mexico, be a Mexican and follow the rules. If you want to come to America, be an American and follow the rules.

How hard is that?

As far as the word "gringo", get over it. I lived in Japan and I was a "gaijin". I know what the word means and accepted it. I did the best I could to fit in with their culture and never tried to impose my culture on theirs'.

The problem starts when groups of one nation travel to another and attempt to force that other nation to accommodate their own customs and language. It gets worse when those groups take advantage of local social services. Don't do it.

Like pressing 1 for English?

If people with valid concerns don't feel safe going to Mexico, then don't go. It's all confusing in the 500,000 posts I've read on several forums, but so far as I can gather, 1 person out of the 338 boats has been released but several people currently in Mexico with proper paperwork can't seem to get their boats released. Hopefully it all clears up soon, so the forum can get back to anchor "discussions"

I must be missing something in the translation! The US has millions of Mexicans, among others, who do not want to assimilate the culture let alone learn English. They even have radio and TV stations in Spanish, all over the country. You'd think, if you're going/wanting to live in the US you'd want to excel in English before everything else!

If the shoes fit...

Mauritz
Not a US native, but studied and became fluent in English!

Amen,
my girlfriend and I traveled to Guatemala through Mexico by buses, trains, and boats. I was amazed at their generosity and kindness. They also have a playful spirit, that's the best I can describe it, they are just beautiful, playful, remarkable, people :-).

I've found that people are friendly in the 20-something countries (central and south America as well as Canada, western and central Europe, and the Philippines) I've visited, even in France! I suppose it helps to have a smile on one's face.

Officialdom is where one might run into trouble (experienced none yet).

Agreed. I found that a smile in a Latin American country goes a very long way.

Oh, and sometimes a little patience.

I share Zee's fear...
Mexicans are a proud nationalistic people and even when in the wrong, may not take kindly to a letter writing campaign with threats. A lower key approach may have worked better, eventhough Patience is NOT the American Way.
