I just have a FEW comments.

First of all, to be politically correct, I sincerely desire that the period between December 24 th and January 2 is a time you don't have to hate. To the traditionalists out there, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year ! I am quite happy to have found this site. I feel really at home here( PLEASE don't retch !) My feckless word congloberations do , I'm afraid, make it through my typing skills and wind up here where more knowledgable people can stand back , look agast, and wonder how to ( or if ) to reply to them. So far I have been lucky and no howling mobs have appeared on my doorstep calling for my worthless carcass to present itself for suitable punishment. I am thankfull.
I will now, to close, repeat the statement above,
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR.
John.

Thumbs up MERRY CHRISTMAS

29,
Christmas is a US Federal holiday and has been since 1777. If the nerds want to get rid of Christmas then they better get ready to work a full week in the last part of December.

So, Christmas is politicly correct. It's on the Nations holiday list.
More then 80% of this country (US) claim to be Christian and I believe the Majority is suppose to rule. So don't let the misguided push you around.

Thumbs up

Government sometimes helps create unintentional, positive results. If I remember correctly, Joseph and Mary were required to return to Bethlehem to be counted in the census, for tax purposes.

As a man, Jesus said ďgive unto Caesar, that which is Caesarís, give of you unto me."

In celebration of the greatest gift the world has ever received, I wish you all a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

The US Bill of Rights-First Amendment

states:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,

or PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE THEREOF;

or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Comment: The First Amendment guarantees freedom of SPEECH, freedom of the press, and freedom of association and assembly. It also protects the rights of citizens to WORSHIP AS THEY PLEASE and the right not to be forced to support SOMEONE ELSE'S religion. That includes SECULAR HUMANISM (atheism). The First Amendment also provides for the right to demand a change in government policies.

The First Amendment gives us the right to exercise our religion no matter what it is, with out prohibitation. If the seculars want to put up a picture of the grinch or mickey mouse in a public place, that's fine with me. BUT, they should not prohibit me from puting up a nativity scene. It's my Constitutional Right.

MERRY CHRISTMAS &
GOD BLESS AMERICA............(Freedom of speech)......................_/)

Government property is owned by all US citizens. Our taxes purchase and maintain all federal properties. Why should only the seculars dictate what holiday decorations can or can not be put on them? If one is restricted then all should be restricted!

Freedom

Unfortunately it is usualy only the US citizens that need to tell the world that they have the right to do what ever they please.
The rest of the world to some extent has the same freedoms but we do not have the urge to tell everyone. This is not a critisism just an observation, an observation first brought to my attention by a US Citizen. I think the winter soltace celebration predates the time of Christ and will be celebrated in many fashions. It does not bother me because it all seems to be well intentioned, so if people will actually try and be nice to each other I am satisfied. Merry Christmas to you all. BC Mike C who used to going to the beach on Boxing day.
