Hunter 450

My husband & I are looking to upgrade from an Ericson 35 to a larger cruising boat. We have been looking at the Hunter 450 and the Benetaus..can any owners give us reviews on these models for long blue water cruises? Thanks!!

Re: Hunter 450

I have charted one a few times and I thought it was a great boat. The layout of the boat I think is ideal for living aboard.

Re: Hunter 450

Our old neighbors have a 450. As noted above, good for liveaboard. Decently laid out. Knowing that this opens a can of worms around here, I would not consider one for a long range cruiser. Especially coming from an Ericson.

We absolutely love our Hunter 450. Ours is a 2000. So much space, well laid out, and comfy. We live-aboard (going in 3yrs) and have traveled 1 1/2 yrs thru Mexico. Been in big storms (45 kts 20 ft seas). Friends have a 98 & love theirs too. Hope you find a great Hunny of your own.
