We previously owned a 376 and enjoyed sailing her. Our boat had in-mast
furling (which did have some problems). We had planned to take her through the
Caribbean when we retired, but the Admiral decided she wanted a bigger boat (for
live aboard reasons). With all that said, I believe the 376 is a great coastal cruiser and great to
live aboard. As for a pacific crossing, the boat may be capable, but I don't think I would have ever done it. One thing I noticed with that boat was a need to reef early (15 KTs or so) as the boat would be come overpowered and want to round up.
