How many shagers are on CF

As a member of the SICYC I was wondering how many members here are also shagers . For those that are not here is a link (at the bottom) The club is only three years young and growing around the world. Prostate cancer is our charity.

Most of the human race are shaggers, the sheep variety I avoid though.

Evidently these Shagers are simply members of the Shag Islet Cruising Yacht Club by virtue of buying the shirt!

Good friends of mine are shaggers, they are off north soon for the General meeting of the shaggers, then off to the solomons.

Must join one day.

Shagers are what we call ourselfs and it has become a welcome greeting when hailed.

SICYC stands for SHAG ISLET CRUISING YACHT CLUB.

Really, a greeting, I'm sure Anjou and I might crack a wry smile. Next time in my marina bar , why don't you shout out "any shagers here". I recommend being armed. ( you do realise what's its slang for, right ! )

It means the same here, but you need to have a grasp of the Australian sense of humour.

Agh Ozzies that explains everything , I thought you were serious but gormless American types. ( no offence ) An Ozzie would be the only one that could shout that in any bar. It must be great that nobody in the world takes you seriously. It's like an Irishman claiming he doesn't drink.

Glad the "Shaggers" owned up to their linguistic leaning - from a Brit's perspective, knowing that some of our American cousins were sailing around in the act of Shagging would have been too tempting to ignore!

Dread to think what the members of Kok Suka Sailing Club hail when they recognize their burgee on a passing sailboat!

Re: How many shagers are on CF

Oh, No, Shagging to me is a 50s type of dance! So to the Brits and Aussies it is ? Never mind. Hubby just reminded me of the movie with Austin Powers in it. Reminds me of the time I told a British friend of mine that my 4 year old was a little booger. She went bright red and walked away. Hubby explained what she thought I said.

Re: How many shagers are on CF

I am from South Carolina. The state's official dance is "The Shag". Look up the Swinging Medalions- Double Shot of My Baby's Love. Personal friends of mine. And it goes on. Try Hack Bartley's - Went Shrimping and Came Home With the Crabs. Another personal aquaintance, but don't have anything to do with the song title. Shagging is a cross between a jitter bug and a "something else" can't remember rite now. Look up Pat Patterson- Shaggin DJ of all times.
