Hornblower - Tashiba 40 in Beaufort, NC

We saw a Tashiba 40 called Hornblower, Goochland VA, lying at anchor in Taylor Creek, Beaufort, NC on Thu. 13 Nov. It was pouring rain at the time and there was no easy way to hail the boat.

I'm interested in how they mounted the wind turbine (Air Marine). Given the current weather, I suspect they're still in the Beaufort area or probably still in NC. At any rate, if this is your boat or you know the owners, please contact me.

Hi,

I know Hornblower was for sale until very recently. I'd guess the current owners didn't do the installation. Here's a google cache of the YW page (in french).

Maybe the broker can help you?

Thanks for the note. I found the French cached listing, too. Dunno why it didn't persist anywhere else but that's for another day. Anyway, I'm still hoping to talk to the owners or former owner (I have a "snail mail" address in Richmond, VA) and thought I'd throw the message out here as well as SSCA and the Baba Panda Tashiba forum (source of the French Yachtworld posting). It was rather frustrating to be no more than 50-75 yards away and unable to do anything to get Hornblower's attention. Had the weather been better (it was a close to "frog choker" rain), I might have even asked someone in a passing tender to knock on their hull for us. [/shrug] So it goes...
