honda 2000eu accessories

looking for feedback , bought a fuel cap and marine tank adapter that should allow me to draw fuel from my outboard tank. 1. fuel stored in marine approved container. 2. not having to fuel generator, spillage ect. 3. extending run time. looking for input fair winds

We had a Honda 2000E on our last boat. If you can modify the fuel feed system as simply as you imply, I see no cons.. only pros. The only drawback we had is the noise and exhaust smell... even if the Honda is relatively quiet. We have an Onan 3 cyl on the new boat and I once forgot to shut it down when leaving the boat...

Those are great, but be sure to keep the fuel tank on approximately the same level as the gen. I had the gen on a trailer hitch (approx 2ish feet above the ground) and the fuel tank on the ground and the fen starves for fuel. Put the tank on the hitch also and no more problems!
