Help Identify 30 Ft. Sailboat
Would anyone out there know what manufacturer and model this sailboat is. That's all I have is the picture and the overall length is about 30 feet.

Re: Help Identify 30 Ft. Sailboat
Well I was going to say an Alberg 30 but then they have a stepped cabin top. Then I was going to try an Cape Dory 30 but looked them up and it is not that. So now you can rule out two boats.
Good luck.

Re: Help Identify 30 Ft. Sailboat
Welcome aboard landrand!
My first thought is Cheoy Lee Luders 30, since the hull looks identical to my buddy's boat. The window shape is not the same though... working on it. It's like a Rawson window. Now that I look at it, the forefoot of the keel is cut away more than Luders did, and less than Rhodes. Perhaps a Canadian design... brainfart. Really has the look of an Alberg keel though so Cape Dory is not a bad guess, with mods.

Re: Help Identify 30 Ft. Sailboat
Thanks for the help in identifying this boat.
It's a boat that needs a lot of fixing. The owner didn't know anything about the boat so I first needed to determine what it was. Before I decide whether or not to buy, I need to do some research on the Douglas 32.
Several years ago when I was first looking for a sailboat, I did mark the Douglas 32 in my notebook as one to keep an eye out for if any popped up for sale.

Re: Help Identify 30 Ft. Sailboat
If this, as it appears, is in Connecticut, it is a 34 footer that is thoroughly trashed and was not a quality boat to start with. I had the name as we found it onboard somewhere when we looked at it 2 or 3 months ago. might be swedish in origin. sinquillian (that's not right, but somewhere in that general neighborhood); i'd never heard of it before. It was advertised as a Hallberg-Rassy 46,well, there were zero words of truth in the craigslist ad, which was taken down after our visit but later re-posted with different data. sure looks like the boat we looked at.............

Re: Help Identify 30 Ft. Sailboat
Can't be a Tartan 30.... They are fin keel with rudder on a skeg.
Looks like a Morgan 34 to me....

There is probably nothing more expensive in this world than a boat you get for nothing! Regardless of what it is, you probably saved yourself a fortune by leaving there !
Surprised there was no name on the title.

Re: Help Identify 30 Ft. Sailboat
This is a Douglas 32 and was likely built in Canada. There were several companies that took turns buying the molds and making minor changes to the interiors. Some were good and some, not so much.
The fleet is getting pretty old now but if you can find a good one, it's worth getting as they're a solid boat that can sail quite well. They were regarded as a performance cruiser in their day. My friend and I sailed "Wincrest" in the Lake Ontario 300 in 2001 and won the Southern Cross trophy, the top hardware for the double-handed, whitesail category.
There was a Douglas 31 built as well and about the only difference was that the transom angle was reversed. When on board one, you couldn't really tell the difference.

Re: Help Identify 30 Ft. Sailboat
If it is a Douglas 32, a Douglas 31, or a Hullmaster 31(similar to the Douglas 31 but different builder) it will have an offset (to starboard) companionway.
