Heading home

I hope to set sail for the Caribbean in the next few hours. Yes I know it's still the hurricane season, but I've calculated the odds of encounter and they are pretty low. Some times you've just got to do it!

PS I can be tracked for a while via AIS.

Re: Heading home

IMHO it is a mistake (a big mistake) to do the crossing this time of year. The ocean is warmest now and the odds are more than 50% you meet a tropical depression or even a full scale hurricane.
This is based on seven years of working as charter captain in the Caribbean.
Hold your horses and wait (at the very least) till mid November.

May the good winds always be with you
Sailing together doubles the joy and half the pain
