Exclamation Great surveyor in Ft. Myers, FL needed!

We need the name of an excellent surveyor who works in the Ft. Myers area. We will need a 40' catamaran sailboat surveyed the end of this month. We want a certified person who is very experienced with catamarans. Please let us know what your experience was with the surveyor you recommend and give us this/her contact numbers. We thank you for your help in this matter.

A great surveyor travels. The surveyor I used out of Tampa is now deceased. He traveled all over surveying for insurance companies. I would ask the insurance company you plan to insure your catamaran, who they would recommend or use for claims.

i used a guy from Palmetto named Ken Hitchins at Snead Island Marine Surveyors – 941-729-8116. He can travel to Ft. Myers. He even goes up the mast to inspect the rigging.

surveryor in ft. myers

Two weeks ago we used Kip Turner (MagnifiCo Marine Surveys & Services | Captain Kip, 941-456-2500) to survey a gemini for us. He was VERY through and though expensive ($16 a foot without a sea trail) he spend 7 hours looking over the boat. ~good luck!

CHeeRS!

Thanks, now about Mantas...

Manta owners? We are serious about a 40' Manta catamaran sailboat that has been out of the water for a couple of years. Any suggestions as to what we should look for? You probably love your boat, but every boat has its weaknesses.

We may not be able to sail this boat. We would love to be able to sail a Manta before buying one. Any suggestions? Hard to find them in the Bay area, but we have a Cessna 182 and can fly to the boat. Thanks for any advice you can share.

Cheers,
