. But we do fund billions in naval construction that the USN doesn't even want.
Just today I was looking at the USCG cutters and saw that the High Endurance cutters were built in the 1960s! Getting LONG in the tooth.
Of course there are others, like the Medium Endurance Cutters that are more recent. But, the age of the largest of the fleet surprised me.
