Goofy ads

Don't know where else to post this, can't find a link to post to moderators. I get an email with the "daily posts" at least once per day. I was trying to read some of the posts today and keep getting pulled away from what I am reading by those loud obnoxious adverts. This was to the point where I could not move up or down from where the ad dragged me. If this is the new Cruisers Forums I think they will be losing many members.

Re: Goofy ads

There's a tech support (or something like that) forum that might help.

I've noticed something like this on occasion, and it seems to be when I connect from a device that's not logged in. On my main computer I stay logged in to CF and never see that ad.

Hope it helps.

Re: Goofy ads

Oh, yeah, I might have installed that. Maybe that's why I'm not seeing them any more.

I hope that's true, but I had a couple of times recently - posted a message to the tech support forum - where my antivirus got excited by something on CF.

Well , with adblock enabled I get a few ads down the stbd side and a few in the body... nothing that bothers me..
Just disabled it for a few minutes and all sorts of loosely targeted crap including 'POP Yachts' trying to sell me a multihull... my eyes... my eyes....!!!

Adblock re-enabled....
