FT. Lauderdale Boat Show

The show is in a few weeks. Anyone got vendor tickets they could spare. I would make good use of 4. Bob

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but is the Ft. Lauderdale show mostly powerboats, or is it worthwhile for a sailor? I live in Tampa and am wondering if it worth my time to go over there, never having been before.

If your interest is more in sail boats perhaps waiting for the Miami show would make more sense.

Depends on the size that you have interest in. The show caters to both power and sail but more in the 65 foot+ range than the 30 - 60 ft range. New electronics are introduced at the Miami show but there are much fewer sailboats than power boats. The Annapolis shows this year had 25% fewer boats and small crowds - particularly the Power show as the temps were in the 40"s and it rained all weekend. This will be a make or break year for many manufacturers especially in the smaller boat market.
