I know naught of this boat but the trailer looks nice and the inside looks like an apartment. Bilge keeler, jib boom, classy door to the head, cool table and benches, and other unusual features seemed enough to merit a post. Looks like a lot of windage to pay for all that cabin, but it could be a cool cruiser or even an air bnb.

But wait! There’s more
Striking green boat, 24’, unknown make and year, $2.4k
I know that sounds terrible and this is THE greenest boat I’ve seen. But it looks like a lot for the money and the apparent fixed solar panel, small cockpit, large cabin with big windows, and lazarette with cool hydraulic strut to hold it open, as well as a trailer with the boat looking like it was no more than 7’ high on the trailer while still echoing the form factor of a Pearson Ariel. Intriguing, and seemingly unique. There must be a backstory.

the green beast looks like a cal 24 swing keel with an owner modified coach

Yeah.... I won’t be copying that paint job. I thought it might be an old Morgan 26 hull, but not sure.

Well, I can vouch for that design That's not the "Challenger" though, not that it makes any difference. The Challenger is the flush deck version. Great pocket cruiser there imo!

66 westerly windrush, $1k 25’ loa
One of the dirtiest boats I’ve seen this millennium, it still caught my eye. Triple keel? Marine head? 20 lbs of mildew? Outboard in a lazarette? It’s all there! For an extra $500 you get all the add ons, which seemed worthwhile.

https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/boa...895739208.html

If I had no boat, poco dinero, and liked cleaning stuff, I’d look to buy it. Seems like a viable trailerable solo cruiser. Shallow draft is sweet. Triple keel sounds like you could beach it if you knew what you were about.

The ad is unusual.

That needs to be quoted for the comedic value, we don't want to lose it when the ad gets deleted. I wonder if the "guy" stole the winch handle?

Ad says..

"condition:*good*
length overall (LOA):*29*
make / manufacturer:*Jensen*
model name / number:*Catalina*
propulsion type:*sail*
year manufactured:*1977*

1977 Cal Jensen 29' recently flooded by ex partner.
Engine and electrical were submerged and toast.
Boat does not have a leak, it was an intentional act
Needs to be removed from marina as the guy keeps trying to sink it
Will need new power, outboard is a great option.
Or rebuild the diesel that on board, Starter Alternator where submerged*
Electrical will need repairs as well, Arced when the water hit it*
Cushions stayed above water.
Sails and rigging are all good
This is a huge loss on a very nice boat*
I can't keep repairing as some dude is made it his mission to sink / destroy it
This boat had it all, fun fast, comfortable*
$700 has to leave Long Beach soon
No trailer, I have tow service or sail it off, Will need a winch handle*
No battery will need one for sump pump / lights"

I don’t know why, but if we weren’t leaving later this year to go cruising again, I’d grab this to futz with!

That is one ugly boat! Plus it will need tons of work to get it ready for use.

They were meant for areas where the tide would leave the boat grounded and they can run up to a beach like a catamaran.

84 Laguna 24s, trailer, $3.5k

https://milwaukee.craigslist.org/boa...896728114.html

Very clean and cared for looking boat, motor, trailer, equipment ready to go. A well priced, attractive package that probably will not last.

Another nice looking little boat that’s ready to go for the Great Lakes season!

83 Merit 25, $500

https://chicago.craigslist.org/nwi/b...909584758.html

No sails is a hurter, but if you’re into the idea of a sailboat these Merits are supposed to be fast. $500 on the trailer driving away is an attractive proposition. An outboard, some ill fitting sails that you beg from someone at the harbor and customize (pretend like you’re putting in a reef) and you’re ready to see if she floats! Crown Point, IN is like an hour SE of Chicago.
