Re: FREE, or close to free!

I have a 1994 Cruiser 2470. The motor is shot. Since I am more of a mate than a captain, it was ok for me to put it in the water to sleep and entertain on, even if it could never leave the dock.
Now, I would like to pass it along for FREE. Electric works. As does the kitchen stove fridge and microwave. Hot water heater and water pump also great. Head with shower and toilet..... Full camper canvas (needs TLC). Perfect as a floating vacation getaway. Like myself, she cleans up real well!!! Any takers? I can email pictures from my computer but having a challenge uploading them..
Sorry, the Seafoam Green Yeti stays with me...

Looks like it still has the door in the main bulkhead, the door at the V Berth, and the original cabin sole.

Re: FREE, or close to free!

Hate to seem picky, but doesn't the greater standing room of the 25D make a big difference? Admittedly live-aboard usage, rare case.

Standing room does make a difference. I can get back almost to the mast on my boat without shoes. Very nice when cooking and on rainy days

But that Cape Dory 25 is at a very good price ($1200) and is on the Atom Voyages list of cruising boats. (But there's also that B27 for $2,000 - $2,500 with a relatively new Yamaha outboard in the well, but needs some cleanup and paint. B27 has 2600 lbs more displacement also)

I have seen it at a distance (from the next dock over) but I didn't look closely because I didn't know it was for sale. I just like boats like that.

There's a Cape Dory 30K at that dock also that's very nice with the aft wheel steering.

I knew a guy with a Cape Dory 30C with that same aft wheel setup and actually got to steer it across Pensacola Bay while the owner tried to hook up with the girl I was dating at the time! He lived in an apartment like 150' from his boat, but then decided to get a Tayana 37 and liveaboard. I think I would have stayed with the 30' Cape Dory and the apartment

But that apartment did get 8' of water in it during Hurricane Ivan in 2004, but he lost the Tayana in the same hurricane. The apartment complex closed for a year or two also during renovation.
