Re: FREE, or close to free!

I feel like this is an old article.... or I'd heard of something like this before. No matter how much you spend on a boat, a fool is a fool.

Re: FREE, or close to free!

Not FREE exactly, but if you just gotta have a cat, pretty damn good price! Beam isn't really any wider than some of todays monohulls.

If you really want something this big, and love Tartans, keep an eye on this one. Similar tartan with the same issues recently sold for under 5K in my area. Anyone who goes to look at this pay very close attention the the fore deck around where the deck meets the coach roof for soft spots.

Re: FREE, or close to free!

OMG,

LOA: 35.50' / 10.82m
LWL: 25.00' / 7.62m

Beam: 8.75' / 2.67m

Displacement: 14,200 lbs

Never seen such a long and **heavy** boat with that narrow a beam.

Talk about seaworthy, eh?

Anything similar out there just a little narrower, 8.5" or less?

Pretty famous design, Never sailed on one but I'll bet good money she's real comfortable going upwind, or any direction except DDW, and has a GZ curve that never even gets close to negative.
