Re: Forum Member's Boat and Daughter in Trouble off of Mexico

3000,

Welcome to CF. Everything you mentioned has been brought up on this thread in older posts. The items that are very personal should remain on their blog, not re-hashed here.

Both Eric and Charlotte have been honest to a fault on their blog, and it is because of this honesty too many folks are making assumptions. This passage should have gone off without a hitch but the baby got sick and needed care. Pretty much end of story.

3000. Concur with deckky. I've read their blogs and followed all the news. Nothing unusual in experience or timing imho.

Kid got sick. See info on possibilities. End of story.

Not a bad first post. Not sure of the intent. Atoll it's the Internet and trying to suppress usually won't work. Let the guy get wonky and protest his view. We know your experience but don't require a resume when you post

As a psychological counselor, and a sailor, I have been in both kinds of heads; often to find the same content.

Lets hope not. When things settle down this is the thread I hope Eric or Charlotte will give the "straight from the horse's mouth" chain of events.

You know forums are windows of history, and I've always cringed when a mod feels the need to delete or close this portal of history.

Interesting term..."psychological counselor" I've never quite heard a profession quite expressed that way. But true...I only worked in the field 4 years.

Re: Forum Member's Boat and Daughter in Trouble off of Mexico

3000, what a post.

Makes me happy I keep my online stuff just to technical issues and possible an occasional restaurant review and fit of douche baggageness. I think most people would appear a bit off if they were as open and the RH crew.

If the folks on the RH had kept on and put the child in more jeopardy your points may be relevant. However they made the right choice at the right time. 10 miles or 10000 miles under the keel before departure makes little difference when the math comes into play, sometimes things go wrong.

I guess some folk still are thinking about this and posting. The post I referred to was better then a lot. It was not threatening or demeaning.
If your rule is don't post unless you bring something new holds it will be atoll and the mods chatting it up forbidding any new comment.
Thanks for defining what a head is but translation was late. I am now trying to get my urinary tract out of my ear. Better you pee overboard then try to pee in your head.
I think you don't need to be the defender of rebel by squashing newbees. Maybe show them how we are open to opinion and willing to help if they wish.
Mods please take note I am about to report anyone who doesn't have a boat

Unless you have a composting head, then you pee down the sink as to avoid toting the pee bottle.....
