Family Cruising Course

I have never cruised before but would like to take a family cruising vacation this March to Carribean. Anyone aware of an outfit that would do a course for a family or should I just get a Captain. Ideally I would like to have 3 days of getting my feet wet then bareboat for the rest. Where is the best plae to go and is mono hull or Cat better? Currently I just daysail. Thanks in advance!

If you daysail, you have some experience. How much?

If having a captain makes you feel better, then by all means I'd recommend it, but if you are comfortable with sailing then you probably can captain yourself. You aren't allowed to sail at night, so really all you will be doing is what you do now anyway - daysail

Many charter companies allow night sailing in a lot of areas you have to.

OP pick an easy sailing area like the BVI and just do it. You know enough already.
