Easiest boats getting in/out for swimming?

Mostly getting back in and mostly for my dog. I could climb a boarding ladder, but he can't. The hunter and bene with the seat and steps formed in the transom are nice.

Do they make swim/dive platforms for sailboats that you pull up and secure before sailing?

A boat with a sugar scoop would seem to be easiest. Then buy or build a doggie ramp that extends below water line so your pet and get started up it while still in the water.

I built a combination fender board dog ramp. I carpeted it so the dog could get some traction.

A drop down swim ladder would be the easiest means to get out of the water. Even a sugar scoop without a ladder would require a lot of effort to get out of the water.

My boat has a walk thru transom and then a swim platform on the back. IT is a stock item on th boat and does not fold up but could be manufactured in such a way that it does. There is a previous thread where Sunspot Baby gives a link to a site that talks about having pets aboard. (Really nice job George) Do a search or maybe George could repost it.

Teach the dog to climb a ladder. you just need the right ladder.
