Dufour 310 possible purchase.

I would love to know the thoughts of the collective on the dufour 310.

Recently sold my Bene 373 and I have a seaway 25' I race on Sydney harbour. The plan is to have just 1 boat to race casually and just do inshore cruising and some coastal overnight passages.

The boat is a light duty 31 with a tallish rig but only 1 spreader that is heavilly raked. No backstay. Rated B

I love the layout of the boat and they supposedly race ok.

Twin wheels give lots of room in the cockpit. The engine is a bitch to service. Nice finishes.

My concerns are the strength of the rig / boat. This is a 2 year old boat and in as new condition.

Thanks in advance..

Re: Dufour 310 possible purchase.

Hi ben 373,
.
In Europe, the DUFOUR 310 GL has an excellent reputation, well built.
In the self-tailing version it is sometimes a little slow to revive in the light
airs, but overall it is a unit ... that holds the road.
.
Its only problem in the facilities is the drawing of the rear cabin. The engine
clest infriges pretty well on the sleeping surface (for adults..).
A kitchen plan a little counted at the work surface level also, but good storage
volumes spread all over the place...
.
Take a look on YouTube.... and no problem with the rig.
