And, once you're actually under way, all those little things that still aren't quite right just don't seem so important anymore.

I can't wait to quit, although it won't be like that.

I can see where the guy is coming from though. The size of some people's carry ons infuriates me. I really wish they'd start enforcing the size. It's gotten even worse now that you have to pay for checking bags.

They should just charge for carry ons that are over a certain size too. More money for the airline and fewer issues with people bringing ridiculously sized bags as "carry on".

yipes--then i cant fly no mo!!! lol--i carry on me gato!!! bubby is worn in a sherpa backpack cat carrier--until they limit cat size i am usually cool. but all else has to fit into one bag..lol....

smb--i sailed a sloop last year--theough lightning storms--with its 55 ft mast we were out there--had a great time--but the handling is so tough in storms-heavy weather helm -wears me out too hard--i like my ketch--down sail to jib and jigger and fly on thru without as much weather helm and fight. and i have asimrad auto pilot -- will steer through stormy weather better than autohelm, which is what we had on the sloop in the gulf....the full keel and attached rudder beats the fin and spade set up hands down.
sloops are fun--yes--but ye work hard for yer fun!! unless you have a full keel and attached rudder and a second headsail, is a lot of work!!

In 2003 my wife and I had a very profitable business. We had a former doctor approach us about buying the practice. We gave him our terms and he accepted them. We sold our house ourselves at the height of the real estate market and sold everything else by an auction company. We move aboard our boat and not looked back since. My advice is to never look back only forward.

I sort of, have to disagree - a little - you need to look back now and then to really renew the validity of your decision to sail off into the sunset.
- - In the seasonal cruising down in the Caribbean, many haul their boats for the hurricane season and fly home to take of things. Invariably they return early, shaking their heads at the insanity and lack of perspective of those back "home." They cannot wait to get back on the boat and cruising to the next island.
