Re: Do You Wear Pants?

Where I sail requires launching a dinghy from the shore so I have always started my sail with shorts and t-shirt, big hat and some kind of water shoes if I remember them. If the weather gets cooler I put on some type of light jacket or a long sleeved t and a pair of nylon basketball warmup long pants. More clothes as it gets colder.
kind regards,

Re: Do You Wear Pants?

Until this past winter I haven't worn long trousers for 14years unless SWMO demanded it of me. For what ever reason this year I felt the cold more than I ever have.

I live in Houston but was born and lived until 25yrs in Canada. I spent 12 yrs in Denver before Houston. The winter here was colder than any I remember when I lived on Vancouver Island. I must just be getting weak in my advancing dottage.

But to the question at hand I wear cargo shorts most of the time. Sock and shoes unless they are deck shoes and a ball cap always. It's how I keep my hair.....m

Shorts are lighter than pants so they stay up better.
Heh, Himself musta had the same meds....

Re: Do You Wear Pants?

Well, during the day SaltyMonkey tends to wear old raggy jeans with holes in them or army baggy cammo pants, along with extremely LARGE floppy sun hat with neck tail thingie. Barefoot. However, if it is very windy, SaltyMonkey will put on leotard, capezios, and leg warmers and climb the mast and dance dance dance! because I AM SALTYMONKEY!

At night, long johnnnies and weather gear">foul weather gear witrh a watch cap. Although a bicycle helmet is usually worn at all times, so sunhats look rather strange on top.

There is an explanation for this behavior:

Shorts and t-shirts -- usually with bleach and/or paint stains on them. The oil washes out, the bleach and paint are permanent.

I don't think my boat will ever be clean enough for nice clothes.

Re: Do You Wear Pants?

I wear the pants on the boat, my wife wears them at home...

Shorts most of the time for me, unless it's REALLY cold.

I wear shorts any time I can get away with it, even in winter.

Re: Do You Wear Pants?

Crazy perhaps...I just don't like wearing long pants. I'm lucky I have a job where I can wear shorts on most days.
