Judging by the number of Britishers signing onto this forum, I think the Yanks are afraid we are coming back.

Yup. Reminds me of the "sailboat to escape the ravening hordes of the apocalypse" type thread. Sailboat? I can run faster then that! I hear there are cheap submarines available from the drug cartels. You can probably swap your guns for one (why do am I hearing a Texas twang in my head while I type?).

No - never have - never felt the need.
Most active long(er) time CRUISERS that I've met don't admit to carrying - but who really knows, for certain.

Actually, "bear" is correct in this instance.
"Bare arms" are what you have when you're sleeveless.
