Do you like the color your sunbrella fabric has faded to?

We've read about the studies that show orange fades faster. But what does it fade TO? A nice peach, perhaps? We're about to replace our bimini, and blue (or Persian Green), of course, is what everyone recommends. What's the use of buying a fabric that doesn't fade if you don't like the color to start with? At least with orange, we'll have the color we want when it's new!

If you chose one of the non-traditional colors (or you know someone who did) - how did you like the faded version of that color?

Gray....you can't tell if it has faded.

Oyster. It just lightens a bit.
Red turns to an awful greyish brown.
Hunter Green holds up well.

Hunter Green does not fade, much to my chagrin. I wish our canvas would fade out so I could successfully campaign to replace it with something less pedestrian.

My boat has had dark green since 2004. You can see some very minor fading in some places, but it is still in surprisingly good shape. Some of the subrella is as old as 2000 and is still in good serviceable shape (although starting to show some wear).

We have toast (tan) and I like the color even the faded color because it does fade. The problem happens when you add new parts and pieces. Now you have a bunch of differnt degrees of fadedness (if that's a word).
Thanks

I don't know. Our burgundy sunbrella is only 16 years old and hasn't faded so you could tell even in our hot Texas sun.. Our secret 303 Fabric Protectant twice a year..Everything else I own gets the 303 for rubber, plastic etc. The stuff is simply amassing...

Re: Do you like the color your sunbrella fabric has faded to?

We use Sunbrella Charcoal--a dark-ish gray. No visible fade in three very sunny years, but fade might be undetectable in that color. My wife also wishes it would fade so we could replace with a lighter tan color. I often wonder, 'What's the use of durable upholstery (or clothing, for that matter) if your wife will want to replace it shortly anyway?
Be aware that bright colors are harder on the eyes in the tropics.

Faded only looks good on expensive jeans.

Fadeulation works equally well. At least until the sunbrella fragulates.
