Difficult 2,800nm Passage...

Well, in a day or so we are off on a series of passages that I really don't want to do.
The 'lil buggers in the pirate boats and the religious/political nature of some of the area means what could be a wonderful experience is looked forward to like a carbunkle up the butt of life.

We are basically not stopping between here and the next place thats never in the news papers. 5,000nms before we will be in happy-land again.

As you may have read in some of my posts we don't listen to cruisers bull, and go our own route. This time the gloom and doom stories are real, the route set or exposed, and yes, the chances are low, very low, but not miniscule.

We will get through unscathed as I have more tricks and secrets up my sleeve than Houdini, but it won't be a fun trip.

What we miss in this trip we will do again sometime in the future if the locals want it more than they want belligerence.

Mark
PS We have our new mainsail delivered today!! Yippee!

Hey Mark and Nicole have a good trip. The sailing up there isn't too bad so that will be good at least. We got hit by lightning two days ago so are on our way back to Phuket to get electronics quotes.

Cheers

I have just said a prayer for you and your crew. I shall continue to do so as often as you come to mind until I hear report of your safe passage.

An Old Irish Blessing
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

Have a great trip to uh.... the Galapagos islands (that is how ya throw em off)
