Bon Voyage! May you two have fair winds and an uncomplicated passage.

Hey Mark, Fair winds! My wife looked at the pictures of both of you on your site &, with her Filipina (hoodoo-voodoo) wisdom, says, "They will grow old, together." So, you'll be fine, she's never wrong! It has something to do with Nicolle having "long" ears!?!!

What! You haven't left yet!
Have fun and get going.
This thread is turning into a wake like affair.
I know it is just all of us wishing you and Nicolle all the best, but there is a certain morbidity to it.

Now get going, have fun and let us know what a GREAT time your having (when you can). I am EXTREMELY jealous by the way!

Cheers,
Extemp.

Yes it does but it could have been a direct hit and worse. We are now back in Chalong - have you left yet? Could you do with one more beer before you leave?

They're Aussies. They will make it. The locals can't handle the beer.

Must admit that a lightning strike worries me more than the other thing. But that's only because the only pirates we have around here are in the invoicing offices of marinas.

Wish there was something we could actually do, other than wish them bon voyage.

Reckon some of our minds will be concentrated for a while.

Phase ONE complete!!

We did a 26 day passage and are now in a preliminary area.

Have been on 'close' watch for 800 nms!

I dont know how good internet access here will be but should be able to say hi before we leave for next phase.

Nic is well and says hi

By the way, the last 26 days have been WONDERFUL (except the obvious) more whales than any other passage, more dolphins, turtles swimming over to us! All most amazing!

Told you the sailing part for the first phase was probably going to be pleasant. It is the next part that can be dicey. But we had some friends do it a couple years back and they beam reached the whole way so I guess it is more a bit of luck than anything. But if you get it wrong those contrary winds are a bit of a bummer not to mention the greetings you might get from some of their err "famous" locals!!!

Cheers and glad you had a good trip

Mark and Pauline

Good to hear from again and I trust your next phase will go as well as P1. Good luck and fair winds
