Diesel fueling issue

Problem filling diesel on a Beneteau. Both port and starboard tanks allow only 2 gallons or so before the fuel foams back up....the vent makes a gurgling sound.

Any solutions?

Thank you in advance.

Must have a blocked vent or a blockage in the fill line - most likely the vent(s). Clear the vents or you will burst your tanks. Also could be you are filling too fast. Slow down the rate of fill and see if that matters.

You could also install a fuel overflow stop like this one.

Re: Diesel fueling issue

assuming you do not have a high speed pump designed for mega yachts - we had a similar problem and found our air vent had some crud on it -- cleaned it and all better

Yep, but first clean the breather vents, or this won't do much good.
