Delivering Mariah

The response to my 'crew wanted' post was pretty great for a short notice delivery. I'm taking on two CF members as crew. Given that and the level of interest I thought I'd post a thread about the delivery.

It's nothing really exciting - a regular boat that needs to be moved from Atlantic Highlands NJ behind Sandy Hook to Annapolis MD. It should take us about 3 days.

We'll have a SPOT tracker on board so you can follow our progress or lack thereof. *grin*

I'll fill in details as I have time. I've been pretty jammed up with phone calls with crew candidates and other obligations.

The boat is a Freedom 35. The owner and friends got from Boston MA to Sandy Hook before timing out. They had a great time and the boat sounds like it is in first rate condition. I'll see when I get there.

The basic plan is for me to drive from Annapolis to NJ Monday morning. Provisioning in the afternoon. Crew show up in the afternoon and we prep the boat. We'll leave Monday evening or Tuesday morning depending on logistics (mostly getting the rental car returned after provisioning). Weather looks pretty decent albeit with light winds Tuesday into Wednesday. Planning to hit close to slack before flood near the bottom of the Delaware Bay.
