Dave and Jaja Martin Today

Anyone know what Dave and Jaja are up to in Maine these days?

The Martin family is currently living in Bristol, Maine; and selling their experiences in a variety of media.

Thanks Gord, I knew that part. I was wondering what they were up to after building the house. I saw one article regarding their daughter graduating (with honors) and headed for a college in FL...I also heard they had moved from Round Pond to Bremen or? in Maine. They had indicated maybe heading for Antartica at some point in the future and I was wondering if they were still planning to go. Thought it would be an interesting read given their Ice Blink movie...

Jaja is working (summer) as a sailing instructor in Round Pond, Maine. Dave is working at the local boat yard. Their daughter Holly is going to college. Chris's occupation has slipped my mind at this time, and their youngest, Teiga is in her freshman year at Lincoln Academy.

In additon to their daily work, noted above, David has recently completed the construction of a 30' catamaran in which the family will resume some of their sailing adventures.

FYI...

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, samste.

Thanks for sharing that. Do you happen to know the Martin’s personally?

Their article, "Setting Priorities" (Good Old Boat, 11/05), is pretty interesting. I think it would provide inspiration to those who hope to cruise long-distance on the cheap.
